Love’s Prophesy is a setting of text from Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet and was commissioned for the wedding of childhood friend Lynne Wilson and her fiancé Andy Myhrum, which took place on a yacht. The first performance was by tenor Randall Scarlata with the composer (i.e. me) at the piano, on a beautiful sunny day in New York Harbor, overlooking the Statue of Liberty in 1999. They are still happily married.
